Today Qantas ALAEA Executives met with Qantas Management to progress negotiations around EA 11.
Recently the ALAEA received the following message from Qantas Engineering Industrial Relations Manager, Peter Smith, titled A330 Network Changes and Ground Time:
Today the ALAEA held it’s first EA 11 negotiation meting with the company and presented a comprehensive claim list to them. In return, Qantas rolled out some presentations to explain the financial difficulties the airline are heading for; the usual doom and gloom story that we see every time we negotiate with them.
The ALAEA is seeking expressions of interest from members to represent the ALAEA at the 2019 AMC to be held in conjunction with MRO America’s in Atlanta, Georgia, April 08-11 2019. 5 positions are available on the team consisting of 3 B1’s and 2 B2 engineers.
Members in some sections have started contacting the ALAEA to say that their leave applications are not being processed by Qantas as they have not been submitted via the Deputy system.
The current Qantas LAME Enterprise Agreement expires on 5 January next year. The ALAEA surveyed members in July 2018 and developed a log of claims
