ABOUT ALAEA
The Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers’ Association [ALAEA] is a federally registered Australian organisation that represents the industrial, technical and professional interests of Australian Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMES).
The ALAEA was formed in 1964 in order for LAMEs to control the future of their profession. Today the ALAEA is a very successful organisation and a key player in aviation industrial and regulatory issues.
ALAEA membership includes most LAMEs employed in regular public transport and regional airlines, and has widespread coverage of LAMEs in General Aviation. Membership also includes technical staff and other engineering support staff. Current membership is in excess of 3,000.
