Dear Members,
On the 4th of August, we were saddened to hear my friend and colleague Ray Debevec of some 25 years had passed away suddenly aged just 62.
Ray’s career in Aviation began in 1980 with the Royal Australian Air Force as an Instrument Technician then as a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with ASTAAS, Ansett (1996-2001) then Qantas Melbourne in both Heavy and Line Maintenance from 2001.
Ray was such an industrious person who loved tinkering with boats, renovations and any idea that would spark his interest and enthusiasm.
Ray’s industrious nature was equally matched by his generosity he offered and displayed to his family, friends and colleagues.
Our condolences go out to Ray’s family during this extremely difficult time. The ALAEA will inform you of funeral arrangements as they become known.
