Dear ALAEA Members,

Recognising those members among us.

The ALAEA would like to hear from members who wish to nominate a fellow ALAEA member who deserves recognition. Do you know a member who goes above and beyond to help others? Someone you look up to and who is always there when you need them? A LAME who truly embodies our motto as a guardian of air safety? Then we want to hear from you!

John Alldis was a founding member of the ALAEA and the longest-serving member of the ALAEA Executive. John was passionate about our craft and went above and beyond to promote and look after our members. At one stage during his tenure on the Executive, John mortgaged his property to ensure the ongoing survival of our Association. The ALAEA Executive has decided to name this award in his honour, and each year on AMT Day (24 May) we recognise a member who exemplifies these values.

This year, we want to recognise a member for going above and beyond. The award includes 12 months’ membership, a $500 Bunnings gift card, and a Snap-on mystery gift pack.

To nominate someone you believe deserves recognition, please complete the attached form by 8 May 2026 and send it to sfotoulis@alaea.asn.au.

The ALAEA Executive will select the AMT of the Year at the next quarterly Executive meeting.

The winner will be announced on AMT Day, 24 May 2026.

Kind regards,
Stephen Anastasios Fotoulis
