Dear Member,

 

We have recently become aware that some members may not have been paid their full entitlement while on workers’ compensation.

 

Under the Licensed Aircraft Engineers (Qantas Airways Limited) Enterprise Agreement 11 and the Qantas Airways Limited (Technical Salaried Staff) Enterprise Agreement 11, employees are entitled to be paid the difference between the statutory worker’s compensation cap and their normal weekly earnings for 12 months. This includes journey accidents that would otherwise not be covered.

 

If you have utilised worker’s compensation in the past 6 years and believe you may not have received the full benefit of this provision, please contact the ALAEA office so we can assist you.
