Some sad news we woke up to this morning.  ALAEA life member and current GA Councillor on our Federal Executive, John Alldis has moved up to the big hangar after a brief illness.

In 1960 John and his mates decided to break away from the metals unions and form a professional Association for LAMEs. They mortgaged their houses to give us the funds to get our union started. John spent around 50 years of his life on our Executive holding nearly all positions including ALAEA President.

John worked for the Air Force and then TAA before retiring around 30 years ago. Since then he has spent his post work life making our lives better working tirelessly behind the scenes and guiding us with all his wisdom.

John was the ALAEA and always will be.  Funeral details will be forwarded when known.
