As we get stuck back into our tasks for 2015 we have been reviewing our list of Representatives across the country. In some areas we have good coverage but overall we think it would be invaluable to expand our team of people on the ground and call for members who think they would make good advocates to stand up and lend assistance as ALAEA Reps.
As an ALAEA workplace delegate you qualify for paid training in basic then advanced workplace representation. Reps can be as active or passive as they choose and can get involved in matters such as rostering, wage negotiations or preparation, carrying out workplace polls or ballots and assisting members who find themselves in trouble. There are no specific demands placed on Reps and as a delegate you would be generally on standby for anything that may arise. We do however need as many Reps as we can get to keep the ALAEA as effective as possible.
A full list of current ALAEA Reps is attached to this notice including Executive members. Many of the smaller airlines where our members work have no workplace delegates and as a member, should you find yourself needing assistance locally, those Reps on your airport employed by other companies will be more than capable of assisting you.
